Our Ballet Technique classes focus on developing the fundamental skills and artistry of ballet through barre work, center exercises, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. Dancers will improve their posture, alignment, strength, flexibility, balance, and musicality while building a strong technical foundation that supports success in all styles of dance.
- Beginner: This class is held Monday 5:30–6:45 and is designed for beginner dancers who are developing a strong foundation in ballet. Students will focus on proper body alignment, posture, terminology, flexibility, balance, and basic ballet technique through barre work, center exercises, and across-the-floor combinations.
- Intermediate:This class is held Monday 7:45–9:00 & Thursday 7:30–8:15 and is designed for dancers with prior ballet experience who are ready to further develop their technique. Students will focus on strength, flexibility, turnout, balance, musicality, and precision while learning more challenging barre work, center combinations, and across-the-floor progressions.
- Advanced: This class is held Monday 4:00–5:30 & Thursday 8:15–9:00 and is designed for advanced dancers looking to refine their technical skills and artistry. Dancers will focus on advanced ballet vocabulary, strength, flexibility, control, alignment, and performance quality through challenging barre work, center exercises, turns, jumps, and combinations. Emphasis is placed on proper technique and the application of ballet principles to all styles of dance.
Note: Instructor evaluation required prior to enrollment in this class.
